| FEDERAL GOVERNMENT The Federal Government funded a significant portion of UCLA’s total research and training through grants, with revenue totalling $309,088,000 in the 1999-'00 fiscal year, and further contracted with the campus for an additional $37,310,000 in services. Research efforts of UCLA are focused on finding solutions to complex problems in areas such as human health, the environment, energy, water and food supply, technology and global quality of life.
